Our Client a well established distribution company in Meath are looking to hire a Financial Controller.
The Financial Controller will play a key role in improving product profitability by preparing and analyzing product costings, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Sales) to drive better financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities:

Management Accounts & Reporting – Prepare and consolidate monthly management accounts for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Upload financial data into Axiom Income Statement in line with strict deadlines.

Stock Control & Analysis – Conduct monthly stock valuations, monitor slow-moving and obsolete stock, and ensure proper stock mapping. Schedule and oversee quarterly stock takes across all locations.

Intercompany Reconciliations – Reconcile intercompany accounts monthly, process recharges, and ensure trading balances are correctly transferred.

Sales & Debtors Management – Reconcile sales reports with management accounts, conduct margin checks, and prepare quarterly sales vs. budget reports. Review aged debtors and collaborate with the Credit Controller to manage outstanding balances.

Budgeting, Audits & Compliance – Assist with annual budget preparation, forecasts, and cash flow management. Oversee audit processes, reconcile management accounts to statutory accounts, and manage tax compliance, VAT returns, and revenue submissions.
Qualifications:
- CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualification.
- Strong Excel skills; Experience with Sage is advantageous also.
- High commercial acumen
