Assistant Depot Manager – Meath

Job Purpose: As the Assistant Depot Manager, you will be required to support the Depot Manager in warehouse and transport management, stock control and administrative support.

With a focus on excellent service delivery to the retail and wholesale business units, you will share responsibility with the Depot Manager for the storage, movement, and delivery of frozen, chilled & dry goods products.

Responsibilities:
· Supporting the Depot Manager in the Overall running of the Depot.
· Maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety, Hygiene and Food Safety.
· Ensure real-time accuracy of stock by receipting stock and performing 2-way PO matching, and raising internal transfers between depots daily.
· Weekly stock counts, reconciliations and analysis with responsibility for overall depot stock control in the internal and external warehouse.
· Assist Depot Manager on daily transport issues that may arise from sickness, vehicle breakdowns, holidays, etc. to ensure OTIF deliveries from a fleet of 5 vehicles.
· Record, report and support the achievement of depot and driver KPIs.
· Liaise with the sales and depot teams to resolve customer enquiries, complaints and delivery queries efficiently. Ensuring everything is closed out daily. Depot champion for customer service.
· Support the Depot Administrator and Transaction Services in the UK to ensure credits and customer payments are processed timely and queries are dealt with efficiently.
· Liaise with central purchasing on delivery or product quality issues to be raised with suppliers.
· Raise POs for locally sourced goods or services such as fresh veg, maintenance, consumables and vehicle repairs.
· Work with external transport and cold storage to raise ad-hoc transport bookings and stock transfers.
· Support and cover for Depot Administrator during peak times, sickness or holidays including preparing driver paperwork, counting cash, preparing cash for collection, confirming order picking and shipping, processing diesel receipts, etc.
