Qualifications and Experience:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A recognised accountancy qualification, e.g. AITI, ACCA, CIMA.

Minimum of 4 years’ previous experience in similar/relevant area.

Experience managing people.

 

Management related qualification.

Experience working in the health care sector, or not for profit sector.

 

Organisational and Professional Knowledge:

 

 

 

 

 

Strategic awareness.

Knowledge of best practice in financial services.

Knowledge of not for profit sector/health care sector.

Management practice.

In depth knowledge of the disability sector.

Financial/Resource Management:

 

Manage preparation of financial data for multiple centres with multiple managers.

Provide clear and concise financial information to managers in a way that is easily understood.

Compile monthly management accounts.

Reconcile trial balance accounts and maintain general ledger.

Analyse monthly accounts system information by cost centre.

Analyse monthly payroll information, and monitor against budget.

Analyse actual total monthly spend against budget.

Prepare annual budget information.

Prepare financial breakdowns for grant applications and service development initiatives.

 
Judgement and Evaluation: Analyse problems and reach solutions.

Ensure decisions made are professional and consistent.

Deal with difficult situations quickly and successfully.

 

Conflict resolution skills.
Planning and Managing:

 

Ensure a quality service is delivered.

Uses initiative to improve the finance/accounts service.
