Job Description
Our client is a growing IT provider based in Meath, providing high end support to a range of sectors and looking for someone to fit into their setup. We are looking for someone with the right attitude to fit into our client company with an eye to longer term employment.
Job Responsibilities:
· Provide complete IT support, covering hardware and software for laptops, desktops and servers, networking equipment and printers.
· Planning and implementing desktop, server and network architecture for new and existing clients
· Setup of networking equipment i.e. switches, routers, AP’s
· Working on a variety of technology projects as a lead or contributing member
· Researching and testing new SME technologies
· Project Support – Assist with technical projects and other delegated tasks as required.
· Planned Preventative maintenance – Monitor and maintain business systems, Verify Daily Processes
· Back-up – Perform and ensure the success of system backups and restores.
· Documentation – Review and update IT documentation/processes
· Configuration of network security solutions, e.g. firewall, anti-virus
· Utilise call logging software to record and resolve user incidents within specified SLA’s.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot issues by applying technical expertise, product knowledge, communication and problem solving skills
Ideal Candidate:
The candidate should be familiar with the operation of Windows Active Directory domains
Should be well versed in the process of troubleshooting Windows endpoints
Should have a good understanding of standard Microsoft client software and be able to pass on knowledge to users as required
Must be able to quickly learn new company-specific software in order to be able to support users.
Looking for someone with some helpdesk experience so they can monitor and assign tickets to others.
Previous career experience:
Graduates will be considered, 1-2 years’ or more experience preferred
Academic qualifications:
Relevant third level IT qualification
Personal attributes:
Must be able to work well and communicate effectively with users of a broad range of computer competency levels
Must be willing and enthusiastic and should have an enduring personal interest in technology and computing
Must have a willingness to share knowledge and pass on information.
Good attitude and ability to communicate with others. We are a small company and the right person is important.
Hours
Mon – Fri 9-5:30
20 Days AL
May be req’d to work ‘on call’ 5.30pm- 11pm
Salary DOE – will look at those with minimal IT experience and those fully matching the job spec.
